A Case Study with Christopher Pratt's Furniture

Established in 1845 in the industrial heartland of Yorkshire, Christopher Pratts has built a reputation renowned for providing furniture of the highest quality and housing many of the leading brands.   They have been a long standing customer of Reactive Signs and we have provided various signage and vehicle livery solutions over that period.  We worked closely with their transport manager and their design team to ensure a smooth process without any delays, allowing the vehicles to be out on the road showcasing the Christopher Pratts brand as soon as possible.

Objectives

Until now Christopher Pratts had painted their commercial vehicles in the company colours.  This was proving to be an issue when renewing the fleet, requiring the vehicles to be painted back to white before being sold.   Reactive Signs were tasked with wrapping the cab and body before applying the graphics. The wrap needed to be a perfect colour match to the previously used paint colours.     Coordination was also big part of this project.  4 vehicles to be prepared, wrapped and finished with as little down time as possible.

We also had to be cost effective in comparison to painting. There are no shortcuts when it comes to a good wrap so we had to ensure accurate planning and production to keep the costs to a minimum.

Our Solution

We initially provided visuals to show the limitations of vinyls wraps. The fact is that you just can’t wrap some parts that you could paint. The vehicles were delivered to our installation facility where preparation could begin.   We removed the roof deflector to allow us to wrap it and the cab roof fully.  We also took off door handles, trims and rubber seals wherever possible to enable us to install a wrap that will last.

Using a combination of a wrapping vinyl, printed in house to match the corporate pink, applied to the cab and a standard grey vinyl applied to the box sides, the colour change was completed in a couple of days.  That just left the actual graphics to be applied.   The graphics were a mix of print and cut vinyls and were specific to each branch that the vehicles were going to be based.

The Results

Our van wrapping services for Christopher Pratt’s Furniture exemplify the power of commercial vehicle signage. By wrapping four of their delivery vans, we helped the company create a fleet of mobile adverts that effectively promote their brand across their service area. The high-quality, visually appealing designs ensured that the vans stood out on the road, capturing attention and leaving a lasting impression on viewers. The wraps not only showcased the company’s branding but incorporated elements that reflected the quality and style of their furniture offerings. This cohesive branding approach helped reinforce Christopher Pratt’s market position as a premium furniture retailer.

As mentioned previously, cost was a factor in this project. Painting was always an option.   Our costs to wrap were only slightly higher than a paint finish but when considering the costs of restoring the vehicle back to the original colour, the wrap option was a no brainer.
